There have been numerous moments in motherhood caused me to have anxiety. The first time I took Herbie outside and the first time I left him with my mom to go back to work are just a few. None of these top the most recent experience of taking my baby nearly 2,000 miles on a plane alone. Like every mother out there, I asked other moms, read of all the blogs, watched all the YouTube videos, and went to the TSA website and then the FAA website. I mean, I did all of the things to make an informed decision! I found that the Traveling with Children section of the TSA website was a godsend. The airline carrier’s website helped as well. I recommend that you visit both and verify what is considered a carry-on and which items that are necessary for your baby are permitted. These are the top 3 things that made flying a breeze. #1: Decide Who Gets a Seat
#2: Car Seat / Stroller Combination
#3: Packing Smart
These are just a few things that made our flying experience a success. I share them with the hope that these tips will help make your traveling experience less stressful. Stay encouraged, you are doing a great job.
